Animation shows the variation of slope of a segment (shown in red colour) of a rope
as a wave passes through it.
The extension of the segment is shown as a percentage increase of the unstretched length
Notice the maximum slope and stretch when the segment is passing
through the equilibrium position.
The effect of increased amplitude on the slope is also observable.
